Hey Everyone,

Been working on breeding following the feedback received from my last post. This is what I've done:

  • Breeding time is now completely configurable including number of stages before egg creation.
  • Breeding will continue to occur even if the tile is unloaded or if the player is offline on a server (won't continue in single player if the game is shut down).
  • The environment conditions for breeding can be turned off in the options
  • The ranch upgrade item can be completely removed if so desired

We'll have this update out as a beta by the end of the week!

Something else MrM forgot to mention earlier -

- The SpawnofPsyduck sidemod now supports Biome O' Plenty! Complete with a pregenerated list of Pixelmon spawns for the additional biomes

- The mod Schematica is now fully compatible with Pixelmon!

We have a new beta for your enjoyment. It's mostly just breeding fixes but also brings in a couple of new abilities and a new piece of equipment for you all to enjoy. The new machine is the mechanical anvil. It doesn't have a recipe yet but will in our non-beta breeding release but it lets you make lids without having to go through the labour intensive part of hammers and anvils. It won't be cheap in the final version (will need a diamond hammer among other things) but I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Also, in the next week there'll be a new website coming online for pixelmon. Isi and his team have been building this from the ground up and will really unite all the areas of the site together along with being far more pleasing on the eye and easier for us to maintain. Here are some sneak peeks:

Hey everyone!

Apologies for this taking longer than it should've, we had an issue with some missing files, but we found them. Obviously clefairy ran off with our files, how mean!

Pixelmon 3.3.0 is a beta. Now while we'd usually not recommend betas, this is pretty well done. That being said, if you're brave enough to update, or update your servers, please use our issue tracker and keep us up to date with the bugs!

Hey Guys,

I'm really happy with where we've got breeding to and we'll be releasing soon. In advance of that, if you have been working on translations I've put together a file of the new lang lines in this coming version so if you're fast you can update the existing lang files to be ready.

After talking with isi I've gone and moved the language files over to a public git repository. Any changes I make to the english language file will now show up there immediately. If you want to make a change to a language file, clone the repo and modify the file you want (or add a new one) then pull request back in. Tutorials for how to use github like that are readily available.

Sorry for not getting breeding to you all yet but we got it to the point it was at last week (working) and then I decided that it wasn't quite meeting it's potential (in other words I had a bunch of ideas). Basically we had mimicked the minecraft breeding to some degree but I don't like the minecraft breeding, it's a little too simplistic and a little too boring. I wanted a system which required a bit more personal investment into the outcome so we have been implementing a bunch of new stuff to it. Basically now you'll have to design the environment in your ranch to make your pokemon feel comfortable before they'll have a go at breeding. However there's no direct food used to make this come about.

Anyway, we are getting close to finishing off this and it will be out as a beta as soon as we can finish it.

Hey guys its SPG, I'm the Lead Modeler of the mod as some of you may know. Today I am calling out for anyone that would like to help us animate. Normally when it comes to modeling we don't require experience, but this isn't the case.
I will supply you with one of our models and I want you to show us that you have the knowledge of how to rig and animate. We aren't looking for anything fancy, we just ask you to make something fluid and visual appealing because the only thing you'll have to work with, is a very simple skeleton as shown below

So as you can see, we aren't asking for anything fancy, just the fact that you know what you are doing. Here is the fun part though, show us what you can do. Only requirement we ask is that you animate with 24 frames a second and that the animation can loop.

Anyways, Here is the model, and post a video of your animation loop Here for me and Zeecount to look over it, thank you.
